FileMaker WebDirect
FileMaker WebDirect, available in FileMaker Server 14, is the newest version of innovative web technology that runs FileMaker solutions directly in a web browser. New features include support for mobile browsers on tablets as well as an entirely redesigned toolbar tuned for mobile devices.
FileMaker WebDirect behaves a lot like FileMaker Pro with supported features such as script triggers, layout themes and increased responsiveness. By utilising HTML5 technology a record in WebDirect will instantly update when modified in FileMaker Pro, or vice versa. WebDirect also supports all of the new interface elements introduced in FileMaker 14 – such as button bars and icons.
Data Creations Australia has been working with WebDirect since it was first released in FileMaker 13. We have taken the time to identify the benefits of this new technology as well as the potential problems. WebDirect is still a browser based product, and there are limitations inherent with that, but those limitations can be over-come through careful planning.
Custom Web Publishing
We offer PHP development for use in conjunction with FileMaker solutions. Custom Web Publishing allows you to display information from your database on a standard website, accessible from any browser. The process also works the other way – customers can use a simple web form to submit information directly to your solution.
